ASME Authorized Training Provider, explained

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) writes the codes that most pressure piping and pressure equipment is designed to. ASME Learning & Development also runs training on those codes, and authorizes a limited number of providers to deliver that training in their regions.

As an Authorized Training Provider (ATP), MALYOMAR delivers ASME courses under that authorization. For an ASME course on this site, three things are true:

Official ASME content

The course material is ASME's, delivered through ASME's learning platform, with access to the current code edition during class where the course includes it.

ASME-approved instructors

The person teaching has been approved by ASME for that course. Many also serve on ASME code committees.

ASME certificate

Registrants who attend and complete the course receive a certificate of completion issued by ASME.

ASME publishes its Authorized Training Providers by region. See the ASME list for Africa on asme.org. Prototype note: MALYOMAR's entry on that list is to be confirmed before this page goes live.

Authorization applies to the ASME courses MALYOMAR is approved to deliver. It is not an accreditation of MALYOMAR's own courses.

Two program lines, kept apart

Every course belongs to exactly one line. The line decides whose content it is, who teaches it and who issues the certificate.

A MALYOMAR course may teach an ASME, API or EN code. That does not make it an ASME program. Only courses with the amber tag lead to an ASME certificate.

IACET CEUs: whose accreditation it is

The IACET accreditation belongs to ASME, not to MALYOMAR.

ASME Learning & Development is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, ASME is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.

When you complete an ASME authorized program through MALYOMAR, the CEUs on your certificate are awarded by ASME under that accreditation. Educators on ASME programs are ASME-approved and meet IACET accreditation requirements.

MALYOMAR's own programs record contact hours. If your licensing body needs CEUs or PDHs for a MALYOMAR program, ask us for a statement of hours and content before you enroll.

How to tell them apart on this site

Course codes are drawn like the line-number tags on a piping drawing. The coloured band is the program line.

PD642Amber band
ASME authorized program. ASME content, ASME-approved instructor, ASME certificate.
ML501Teal band
MALYOMAR program. MALYOMAR content and certificate of completion.
ASME-approvedInstructor badge
Shown on an instructor's profile when ASME has approved them to teach ASME courses.

Instructors are people, not program lines. An ASME-approved instructor may also teach MALYOMAR programs; the tag on the course tells you which certificate you receive.

Verify a MALYOMAR certificate

Every MALYOMAR certificate carries a number such as MY-2026-00318. Employers can check it online and see the holder, course, date and status.

Verify a certificate

Verify an ASME certificate

Certificates for ASME authorized programs are issued by ASME and are verified with ASME. If an employer asks us, we confirm attendance from our own records and point them to ASME for the certificate itself.

Frequently asked questions

General

What is MALYOMAR Learning & Development?

We are an ASME Authorized Training Provider (ATP) dedicated to delivering high-quality, professional training and engineering courses. Our goal is to empower engineers with practical knowledge and globally recognized standards to advance their careers.

What does being an ASME Authorized Training Provider mean?

It means the ASME courses we deliver, their instructors and their training materials meet the quality standards set by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Completing an authorized program means you receive official, industry-accepted training. It applies to our ASME authorized programs; MALYOMAR programs are our own.

Courses and enrollment

Who should take these courses?

Our courses are designed for mechanical engineers, project managers, quality control professionals and technical students who want to master engineering codes, standards and practical industry applications.

How can I enroll in a course?

Go to the Courses page, select the program that fits your needs and choose a session. You can manage your active courses at any time from your learner portal.

Do I receive a certificate after completing a course?

Yes. On successfully completing an ASME authorized training course and passing any required assessments, you receive an official certificate from ASME. On completing a MALYOMAR program you receive a MALYOMAR certificate of completion, which can be verified online.

Account and support

How do I access my learning materials?

Once enrolled, sign in to your account. From the learner portal you can view your active lessons, resources and progress.

What is the Engineer's Playground?

It is our interactive portal designed to give engineers a space to test their skills, engage with practical challenges and learn through hands-on technical simulation. Visit the playground.

How can I contact support if I have an issue?

Use the contact page, email [email protected], or call our mobile support team on +20 100 517 4037.

Still not sure which line a course is in?

Send us the course code and we will tell you who issues the certificate and what it carries.
